Raspberry and Nut Smoothie

Raspberry and Nut Smoothie

Total Time: 5 minutes
Serves 1

  • ¾ c low-fat milk
  • ¾ c frozen raspberries
  • ½ banana
  • 1 Tbsp natural almond or peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp agave nectar or honey

Place milk, raspberries, banana, butter, and agave nectar or honey in a blender.  Blend until smooth and frothy.

Woohoo!  My long lost blender is getting lots of loving with another recipe from Real Simple’s 10 Ideas for: Smoothies.  And I got to use up some extra raspberries I had on hand, too.  Bonus!

For the record, I went the peanut butter and honey route.  And no, I did not use natural peanut butter.  I just used some good ol’ Jiff I had in the cupboard.  This smoothie was much better than the last.  It could use a little more raspberry and a little less peanut butter next time around.
